Collection The permanent exhibition follows the life of Drazen Petrovic. Every thematic unit is represented in a display case. Five display cases on the ground floor and another five on the first floor carry the following names: Šibenik, Zagreb, Madrid, NBA, Croatian national selection, World and Croatia. In addition to objects that testify about his sport’s achievements, items from Drazen Petrovic’s private life are also included in the exhibit from his first basketball to the watch he was wearing that recorded the time of his death.
The space for temporary exhibitions is located in the colonnade left and right from the entrance, it will host exclusively one-dimensional items; photographs, prints, posters, etc., from Drazen’s sports, private and public life.
The following collection of Drazen Petrovic was sorted and archived by the Croatian Sports Museum: accreditations (26 pieces), awarded medals – posthumously (5), documents (79), medals (30), decorations (6), posters (9), memorial medals, plaques and acknowledgements (112), cups (68), publications (13), equipment and sports gear (21), paintings and framed photographs (38) and flags (35). Total of 442 items were archived. In addition to that 150 more items were collected.
The museum has received many items from Petrovic family's private collection but also from friends and fans around the world. If you possess Drazen Petrovic memorabillia and would like to donate it to the museum, please contact the webmaster for details.
