Background
The memorial center has been a collaborative effort lead by the Drazen Petrovic Foundation in cooperation with the Government of Croatia, the City of Zagreb and Croatian Sports Museum. The museum was a vision of Biserka and Jole Petrovic, Drazen's parents and manifested through the plans of noted architects, Andrija Rusan and Niksa Bilic. All items were collected and cataloged by the Croatian Sports Museum. The memorial center is currently being operated under the Drazen Petrovic Foundation led by his family. Generous donations and support have come from representatives of the Croatian Government, the City of Zagreb and numerous corporate and private sponsors
While the Drazen Petrovic Memorial Center had its grand opening on June 7, 2006, the museum is still going through the process of adding to its offerings and its location, Drazen Petrovic Square continues under a revitalization effort. The regular working hours are planned to be weekdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please check back to this website for further updates.
